Our family

Winemakers in Change for 5 generations.

Historically, our family practiced mixed farming (cattle breeding, blackcurrant cultivation, and viticulture).

In the 1970s, Mireille and Georges began selling bottled wine, cultivating 6 hectares of vines.

The arrival of Marie and Franck in the 1990s marked the end of cattle farming and red fruit cultivation, allowing the family to specialize in viticulture, which reached 45 hectares of vines in production in 2016.

Today, Pierre-Antoine is the fifth generation of winegrowers in the family and, with his wife Manon, they continue to develop the estate by planting new family plots (60 hectares in 2024) and expanding the marketing of bottled wine.

Famille Guérin

has been producing wines for five generations in the heart of the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune region in the village of Change.

The estate now covers more than 60 hectares, including 35 hectares classified as Hautes-Côtes de Beaune regional appellation and the rest as village and premier cru appellations.

In order to meet current climate challenges, we have adopted a method of planting tall, wide vines. This method aims to promote biodiversity by encouraging the growth of grass between rows and reducing the use of agricultural machinery, while also limiting the use of inputs.

Our farm has been HVE 3 certified since 2020.

Vinification

and aging

For red wines,

the grapes are destemmed and sorted upon arrival at the winery. After cold pre-fermentation maceration, we carry out long vatting with punching down and pumping over. The red wines are then aged in oak barrels for around 12 months.

For white wines,

The grapes are pressed as soon as they arrive at the winery in pneumatic presses without the addition of sulfites. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, then we age our white wines in oak barrels for around six months.
